Position Overview
Aspen Leadership Group is proud to partner with Pomona College in the search for a Director of Complex Assets (Principal Gifts). The Director will work closely with the Assistant Vice President of Complex, Legacy, and Principal Gifts to strategically grow the principal gift program and cultivate and close principal gifts of $1M+ from alumni, families, friends, donors, and prospects in support of the division's annual and multi-year campaign fundraising goals.

In the past fiscal year, more than 7,900 alumni, family members, and friends gave a record $82.8 million in gifts and pledges.
Responsibilities
Director will cultivate and close principal gifts of $1M+ from alumni, families, friends, donors, and prospects in support of the division's annual and multi-year campaign fundraising goals.
A primary responsibility for the Director will be securing new principal gifts of $1M+ that align, catalyze, and support institutional priorities and campaign initiatives.
Director will manage a portfolio of assigned alumni, families, friends, donors and prospects to generate interest in and to secure principal gift commitments, partnering with the Campaign Director and Assistant Vice President of Development on blended giving opportunities for alumni and families.
Director will also activate and support colleagues in sustained, donor‑centric complex assets fundraising for the College's top priorities and campaign initiatives.
Director will provide vision and leadership for a comprehensive and well‑integrated complex assets fundraising and principal gift program for Pomona in support of the most aspirational, comprehensive capital campaign in the history of the College, while also raising the level of giving beyond the campaign.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least seven years of experience working with high net-worth clients or donors in the areas of principal gifts.
Management experience preferred.
Professional designation such as Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Certified Specialist in Planned Giving (CSPG) desirable.
Broad range of backgrounds considered; applicants whose experience does not exactly match every qualification are encouraged to apply.
Benefits & Salary Salary range: $175,000 to $195,000 annually.
