Inpatient Psychiatrist

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist to join our hospital‑employed team in the Bronx, New York. This is a permanent inpatient opportunity to serve as a Unit Chief, offering both clinical leadership and academic involvement in a collaborative hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities
Provide inpatient psychiatric care as Unit Chief
Supervise and collaborate with Nurse Practitioners, residents, and medical staff
Lead, mentor, and teach psychiatry residents in both clinical and academic settings
Carry a limited number of direct patient responsibilities
Ensure quality patient care and compliance with hospital policies and standards
Contribute to departmental meetings, quality initiatives, and ongoing education efforts
Position Requirements
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
Board Certified / Board Eligible in Psychiatry
Active New York medical license or eligibility to obtain
Bilingual in Spanish preferred, not required
Commitment to teaching, supervision, and evidence‑based patient care
