About us
Our client provides engineering, design and project management services to industrial, commercial and private customers for oil and gas, public works, land development and construction projects.
We are seeking a motivated, energetic, and detail-oriented engineering designer to work on a wide range of multidisciplined engineering projects for Utilities and Energy Suppliers. As the designer, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of engineering duties including designing, modeling, researching, and developing design and construction drawings.
The designer will collaborate with the designs, engineers, and project managers on various projects, using in-depth knowledge of the engineering software to lead the way. In addition to being an excellent communicator, all candidates should be self-starters with problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2-5 years of industry specific experience with gas and utility piping design
Competent self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment;
Ability to develop and modify CAD drawings for multi-discipline engineering projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D including, but not limited to Structural, Civil, Mechanical and Electrical engineering designs;
Have a working knowledge of codes, standards, and building construction methods;
Maintaining a professional drawing style, content, and appearance;
Work with an established company and/or project CAD standards;
Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure;
Ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally with project members and clients;
Keen detailed eye
Understanding of Microsoft Office applications, including Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel; and
Required proficiency in AutoCAD 2D, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and CADWorx
Responsibilities
Preparing 3D surfaces for grading and drainage design, pipe network modeling of existing and new utilities,
Preparing alignments, plans, sections, profiles, using Civil 3D styles for labeling,
Developing design packages for Industrial Energy projects as directed by the project managers,
Preparing engineering plans, profiles, sections, and details for the design, construction, and as-built drawing sets,
Producing maps and surfaces from topographic data, survey points, and survey field notes,
Reviewing survey data to identify missing information or inconsistencies,
Preparing conceptual plans and figures for proposals, reports, or presentations,
Review markups and drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry and client standards,
Identifying engineering problems and recommending solutions to project engineering leads, and
Researching and following agency requirements for each unique project.
Employment Type: Full Time Direct Hire
Compensation: Up to $85,000
