Compensation : $140K–$220K + 1%–2.3% equity

Role Overview We’re looking for an exceptional
Backend Engineer
to join the
founding team . You’ll work directly with our technical founder—who has 10+ years of AI experience, 5 patents, and has built 0→1 AI products at
Microsoft
and
House —to own architecture, backend systems, and AI infrastructure from the ground up.
You’ll thrive here if you love building fast, learning constantly, and shipping systems that drive

customer impact .
What You’ll Do
Architect and build scalable backend systems (Node, NestJS, LLMs)
Collaborate with AI engineers on LLM‑powered voice & text pipelines
Own features end‑to‑end—from design through deployment
Work with React/NextJS frontends and voice‑based UIs (if full‑stack inclined)
Operate with full ownership in a fast‑paced, hands‑on startup environment
Deploy experimental ideas quickly, measure success, and iterate fast
✅ You’re a Great Fit If You Experience
2–12 years of engineering experience in high‑caliber environments
Track record of success at startups like
Stripe, Ramp, Rippling , etc.
Built and scaled backend systems from scratch (0→1)
Have been among the
first 10 engineers
at a fast‑growing company
Technical Skills
Strong backend skills (Node.js, NestJS, Postgres, AWS, etc.)
Experience with LLMs (e.g. Claude 3.7, OpenAI o4), prompt engineering, or AI infra
Full‑stack capabilities a plus (React, NextJS, Tailwind)
Can code confidently
without AI assistance
Strong design instincts around system scalability and performance
Soft Skills
Relentlessly growth‑oriented and obsessed with quality
Thrive in high‑velocity (50–60 hrs/week) startup cultures
Hungry to learn, ship, and own outcomes
