Job Title: Dealer Command Center Lead The Role As a Director at Capital One, you will drive strategy and execute on high priority projects for the Dealer line of business in Financial Services. You will collaborate with smart and passionate leaders to influence results that have a direct impact on the company’s bottom line. You will take on important and exciting responsibility from day one, working with key stakeholders across the company.

More specifically, you will lead the Dealer Services Command Center. As the Command Center leader, you will lead a diverse team of process managers, transaction testers, and project managers who are all focused on delivering for our customers while caring for critical risks in our business. You lead the PMO (project execution and change delivery) function. This role requires a strategic partner in chartering the next several years of growth of this organization.

General Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

Lead and develop a command center team to support complex, integrated programs across multiple Dealer Experiences and/or the Financial Services Division. Partner cross-functionally to provide strategic and bold thought leadership while effectively driving initiative delivery. Prioritize among multiple time-intensive items and ensure that the command center is being used for the highest possible leverage.

Project & Program Management:

Lead multiple moderate to large complex projects and programs by providing strategic direction to projects, peers, and direct reports. Design, develop, and manage complex integrated plans that are constantly adapting to the changing needs of the customer in a fast-paced environment. Create clear scope definition and management, planning, communications, change management, and implementation. Ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget while effectively managing risks and navigating through a challenging environment.

Governance & Operations:

Lead the team to deliver against metrics, regulatory requirements, customer requests, and strategic initiatives in a well managed way. Foster proper infrastructure and controls to proactively identify and minimize key operational, financial, regulatory, and customer experience risks. Ensure well-managed, well-documented rigor with exceptional governance capabilities that will keep the team operating smoothly and efficiently.

Communication & Influence:

Develop executive-level presentation materials for internal and external stakeholders. Communicate with impact and clarity to internal and external parties. Exhibit outstanding influencing skills to effectively drive project / program efforts.

Team Development:

Display a passion for coaching and developing a team of associates within their respective job families. Encourage experimentation to expand skill sets and foster meaningful conversations around career development.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience

At least 7 Years of Project Management or Chief of Staff experience

At least 5 Years of People Management experience

Preferred Qualifications

Masters / MBA degree

10+ years of Project Management experience

10+ years of People Management experience

2+ years in strategy consulting or advisory services

8+ years of financial services experience

PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification

Plano, TX: $181,800 - $207,500 for Director, Project Management; $212,800 - $242,800 for Sr. Director, Project Mgmt.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
