We're assisting a well-funded, one-person startup with their first hire: a founding full-stack engineer. Their product provides SMBs with dedicated tax advisers and AI-optimized tax strategies. The role will work onsite in SF, and they're planning to go to market in the next few months.
What you'll do:
Contribute to the technical vision and product direction as a core team member
Design, develop, test, and support features for our web and backend applications
Architect and build cutting-edge AI document extraction and agentic systems
Build internal tooling for tax advisor and client collaboration
Take ownership of projects from concept to production
Work with the latest large language models and cutting-edge AI
Collaborate directly with clients and platforms
Who you are:
Customer and product obsessed
Excited about solving unsolved problems
Capable of growing into a leadership position and running an engineering team
Have 2+ years of startup engineering experience; studied CS/AI or have equivalent experience
Have built and shipped products to end users from zero to 1, and beyond
Sweat the details (no problem is too small)
