Position Overview:
The overall management of the nursing care provided, assuring competent, compassionate and cost-effective patient care from admission to discharge
Assuring the safety, comfort, personal hygiene and protection of patients and performing disease prevention and restorative measures
Responding to medical and environmental emergencies
Job Description Education
Graduate from accredited school of nursing Required
BSN Preferred
Experience
Minimum one year clinical acute psychiatric experience Required
Two years Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
Registered Nurse - State Licensure - RN Required
Basic Life Support Certification - BLS Required
Skills and Knowledge
Demonstrates working knowledge of patient care techniques, medications, treatments and general health care procedures
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in fast‑paced environment with changing priorities
Ability to: provide basic patient care to a diverse patient population; read/interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations; write legibly and effectively present ideas, document activities; demonstrate leadership abilities; deal with problems involving several variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Department‑Specific Skills & Knowledge
Completion of a hospital approved course on the management of assaultive behavior within three months of employment with an annual recertification. Completion of a mental health services approved training program on suicide assessment within one month of employment with an annual recertification.

Schedule: Part Time
Shift Hours: 8
Days of the Week: Variable
Weekend Requirements: Every other Weekend

Pay Range is $77.73 to $105.16 / hour
The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
