Overview We are seeking a Project Lead Senior System / Network Engineer to support the development of the Marine Air Defense Integrated System (MADIS) counter-UAS Virtual Trainer (MVT). This program, led by the USMC and US Navy, aims to design, build, and deliver two fully functional MADIS mock-up vehicles—based on the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV)—for immersive, realistic virtual training.

As part of a joint effort, you will play a key role in the assembly, integration, testing, demonstration, logistics, and asset management of these mock-up systems. Your work will directly support the creation of a secure, networked environment connecting Navy and USMC facilities.

This is a high-visibility opportunity to contribute to a mission-critical training system for the U.S. military. You’ll work alongside top defense partners and help shape the future of tactical training with state-of-the-art technology in a dynamic, hands‑on environment.

Responsibilities The Project Lead Senior System / Network Engineer position supports a mission to develop, prototype, fabricate, integrate, test, and deliver a functional Marine Air Defense Integrated System (MADIS) Virtual Trainer.

Specifically, the Project Lead Senior System / Network Engineer will:

Develop and articulate technical specifications and integration documentation

Support selection and integration of all network equipment, access, network control, deployment, management, and support

Support review and updates of the System Engineering Management Plan (SEMP)

Lead development, integration, and maintenance of the configuration management (CM) program

Assemble, integrate, test, demonstrate, manage logistics and assets, and document as‑built systems

Support development and delivery of sustainment strategy for RAM (Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability)

Lead procurement and integration of all required IT and infrastructure components necessary for IT integration

Review all specifications, standards, and handbooks and ensure compliance. Provide specs and spec reviews to the team and develop and provide compliance documentation

Contribute to development of User manual and Maintenance manual

Coordinate completion of deliverables with engineering team.

OPERATING HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS:

This position anticipates standard work hours, Monday‑Friday. Occasional telework may be authorized based on customer approval.

TRAVEL:

Some travel is expected, ~25%.

Qualifications CLEARANCE:

Active Secret clearance required at the time of application for initial consideration. *This position is not open to clearance sponsorship, upgrade, or reactivation.* *Candidates who do not meet this clearance requirement cannot be considered for this position.*

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field desired. Applicable experience may also be considered in lieu of a degree.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in systems integration, logistics, or defense‑related engineering roles

Minimum of 4 years of team and project management experience

Military or Law Enforcement experience as an Electronics Specialists, preferably installing, repairing, operating and replacing platforms installed on any scale tactical vehicle fixed wing or rotor aircraft, surface or subsurface vessel

Proven experience with system‑level testing, hardware integration, and logistics support

Strong analytical ability to evaluate technical data and resolve integration challenges

Familiarity with military platforms, preferably JLTV or similar tactical vehicles

Knowledge of IT networking, system interoperability, and cybersecurity in DoD environments

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document and present technical detail.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Experience with U.S. Navy, USMC, or other DoD programs

Background in virtual training systems, counter‑UAS technology, or tactical defense systems

Proficiency in configuration management and logistics planning tools

Working knowledge of simulation systems or software‑hardware integration in training environments

Desired experience with 3D Computer‑Aided Drawing using Creo, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD.
