Our client, a
leading global investment firm , is seeking an
Assistant Vice President of Fixed Income Operations
to oversee daily trade processing, settlement, and control functions across credit, rates, and structured products. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment where precision, speed, and risk control are everything. You’ll manage end‑to‑end post‑trade workflows—ensuring accuracy from trade capture through settlement—and partner closely with trading, middle office, technology, and external counterparties to maintain a clean, efficient, and compliant operation. What You’ll Do
Oversee daily
trade capture, matching, confirmation, and settlement
for fixed income instruments including corporate bonds, treasuries, repos, MBS, and structured notes.
Manage
fail resolution, collateral, and cash movements
across internal and external systems.
Lead the
reconciliation and exception management
process, ensuring data accuracy across books, custodians, and clearing systems.
Partner with
front office, credit, and risk teams
to resolve trade discrepancies and improve straight‑through processing.
Collaborate with technology and project teams to
enhance automation, streamline workflows, and strengthen control frameworks.
Maintain strong relationships with
brokers, custodians, and clearinghouses , ensuring timely settlement and dispute resolution.
Ensure adherence to
regulatory requirements (FINRA, SEC, DTC, Fed, etc.)
and internal risk policies.
Supervise and mentor analysts and associates, developing the next generation of fixed income operations professionals.
Contribute to
system upgrades, control testing, and process transformation initiatives.
What You Bring
7–10 years
of experience in
fixed income operations
within a bank, asset manager, or broker‑dealer.
Strong knowledge of
trade lifecycle processes , settlement mechanics, and clearing infrastructure for fixed income products.
Familiarity with
DTC, Euroclear, Bloomberg, Omgeo, SWIFT, or Broadridge.
Deep understanding of
repo, corporate bonds, treasuries, structured products,
and cash management.
Proficiency in
Excel ; experience with data analytics, automation tools, or SQL is a plus.
Proven ability to manage teams, streamline workflows, and deliver under tight deadlines.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate across global stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in
Finance, Accounting, or Economics ; advanced certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred.
