Job Description As a Hardware Engineer, you will design, develop, integrate and test hardware and electronic components, ensuring their successful application and integration with engineering and scientific requirements. You will be responsible for applying appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle, supporting hardware systems from the board level to the system level. Additionally, you will create documentation and potentially present status updates on programs both internally and to clients. Responsibilities Lead and perform detailed design of test control apparatus and equipment. Develop schematics and drawings to support fabrication with CAD tools such as schematic capture, timing simulation, and place and route tools. Lead research, design, development, and testing of electronic components, products, and systems. Qualify and test developed hardware, test plans, procedures, and test systems. Act as Project Engineer for assigned tasks, including researching and organizing system specifications to ensure compliance with requirements, developing design review material, presenting at formal meetings, and managing all aspects of the design and development process. Consult with software engineers for hardware and software integration. Ensure all designs are completed on schedule, under budget, and sustain manufacturing reliability. Perform digital circuit design utilizing programmable logic such as FPGAs. Must be at the assigned worksite during assigned hours 100% of the time, except for PTO and FML/STD/LTD. Job Skills & Qualifications 10+ years of relevant experience in electrical and FPGA engineering. Expertise in hardware and electronics design, circuit design (analog, digital, mixed signal). Experience with schematic capture. Experienced in FPGA architectures and VHDL. Experience running engineering projects. Proficient in electronics manufacturing. Knowledgeable working in Allegro, Autodesk or similar tools. RF knowledge is preferred. Job Type & Location Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Walton Beach, FL.
