- Support day-to-day HR functions including employee relations, performance management, and policy interpretation.
- Assist with full-cycle recruitment for both field and office roles: sourcing, interviewing, and coordinating onboarding.
- Facilitate new hire orientation and ensure a smooth integration into the company.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations, including recordkeeping and reporting requirements.
- Administer benefits programs, open enrollment, and respond to employee questions.
- Assist with payroll processing and timekeeping accuracy as needed.
- Partner with leadership to promote a positive, safe, and productive workplace culture.
- Maintain HRIS data integrity and help optimize HR processes.
- Support investigations, corrective actions, and documentation.
Qualifications
- 2-5+ years of HR Generalist experience (construction or related industry strongly preferred).
- Strong working knowledge of employment laws (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO, etc.).
- Experience supporting hourly field staff highly valued.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems; ability to learn new software quickly.
- PHR certification or higher is a plus (not required).
