Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team on a long-term contract basis in the greater Springfield, Massachusetts area. In this role, you will oversee critical accounting functions while ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the company's financial health and stability through accurate reporting and effective management of intercompany accounts. Real Estate accounting experience a must and be familiar with CAP Rate (Capitalization Rate) and IRR (Internal Rate of Return) metrics. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain fixed asset schedules, including depreciation calculations.
- Reconcile cash flow statements and intercompany accounts to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Track financial covenants and debt service agreements to ensure compliance.
- Support audit processes by compiling necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Manage year-end financial closings and reporting activities and work with Audit partners.
- Coordinate the review and finalization of financial statements, cash flow reports, lender financial reports, debt and financial covenant reporting, and account reconciliation.
- Supervise treasury operations, including cash management and forecasting.
- Completion of all required financial reporting and ensuring GAAP compliance of the corporate entity, its affiliates, holding companies.
- Oversee accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR) processes and biweekly payroll.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, prepare variance analysis.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Real Estate accounting, industry experience, small to mid-size firms.
- Perform metrics such as CAP rate and IRR.
- GAAP accounting, some knowledge of Tax and completing K1's
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Multi company/intercompany environment
- Strong expertise in intercompany accounting and account reconciliation.
- Proven ability to manage audit processes and year-end closings.
- Familiarity with tracking covenants and managing debt service agreements.
- Experience in treasury functions, including cash flow management.
- Proficiency in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) workflows.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- QuickBooks and NetSuite experience a plus
