YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As the North American Row Crop Production Soy Performance & Organizational Effectiveness leader, you report to the North America Row Crop Production Soybean Unit Leader. Your primary role is to ensure the execution of effective business strategies and people initiatives, providing organizational and integrated solutions to address business challenges. You will coordinate business-related EBIT and capital operations across approximately 15 sites and 400 employees, ensuring the reliable production and delivery of the North America soybean pipeline. Your contributions are vital to Bayer's business success, as you lead strategic and transformational projects, significantly influencing leadership, regional commercial teams, and other key stakeholders. The primary responsibilities of this role, North American Row Crop Production Soy Performance & Organizational Effectiveness, are to:- Shape the unit's direction through structured business analysis and project leadership;
- Utilize your high business acumen of the North American market/commercial, product supply, and R&D pipeline to inform decision-making and project execution;
- Drive improvements in business performance, technology innovation, and people development through strategic initiatives and effective project management;
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and refine a transformation strategy focused on business and people, optimizing resources, tools, and training for plan execution;
- Partner with strategy, finance, and other leads to improve resource planning and management for RCP Soy opex and capex;
- Develop and lead initiatives for organizational and people development, encouraging continuous improvement and feedback mechanisms;
- Develop and execute communication and change management approaches to foster a cohesive ONE team culture;
- Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations on strategic initiatives, projects, and associated financial information;
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive alignment and support for initiatives;
- Embrace and demonstrate VACC leadership attributes-Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, Coach-within the unit and across Bayer Crop Science;
- Strategically drive a focus on SSHE, Compliance, Business Conduct, and Human Rights, catalyzing a culture emphasizing ethical practices and environmental responsibilotes.
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following: Required Qualifications:- High School Diploma;
- Strong analytical and project management skills with the ability to balance the big picture with great attention to detail;
- Self-starter who can work without daily supervision and be comfortable with ambiguity to drive results with excellent communication and influence skills;
- Proven success in developing teams and culture, both inside and outside of your organization, to achieve business goals and improve performance.
- Bachelor's degree in agriculture, science communications, or a related field with 5 years of working experience; OR
- High School Diploma with 10 years of working experience;
- 5+ years of experience in leading teams with demonstrated effectiveness in driving technical strategy, innovation, operations, and developing people;
- Capability to perform in a fast-paced working environment and work on parallel tasks with competing priorities;
- Demonstrate and embrace VACC leadership attributes, strategically fostering a collaborative culture within the unit;
- Advanced degree;
- Experience in operations.
