Overview Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a seasoned cybersecurity professional to lead efforts in securing complex IT and operational environments for a federal client of ours out of Ft. Belvoir, VA. The Cyber Security Specialist will manage vulnerability assessments, system hardening, and risk mitigation strategies across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid infrastructures. Responsibilities Architect and deploy secure solutions for servers, networks, and virtualized environments Implement security controls aligned with NIST and other regulatory frameworks Automate system configurations and compliance processes using scripting and orchestration tools Conduct vulnerability scans, patch management, and remediation activities to maintain system integrity Support secure cloud deployments and integration with identity and access management solutions Develop technical documentation for compliance audits and risk management processes Qualifications 7+ years of professional experience working in mission-critical environments Extensive experience in cybersecurity engineering and system administration Strong knowledge of security frameworks, compliance standards, and risk management methodologies Proficiency in automation tools, scripting languages, and cloud security platforms Experience supporting Azure and AWS deployments including use of automated deployment tools (EntraID, Azure Local, Azure Arc, etc.) IAT Level II certified required Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CASP+, CSSP, CEH are highly preferred Bachelor’s degree with 7 years of experience OR Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience OR Associate’s degree with 10+ years of experience (HS Diploma with 12+ years of experience) Ability to travel OCONUS and CONUS (25-30%) Must have an ACTIVE TS/SCI with Polygraph (Required) Compensation Salary Range: Between $140,000 - $170,000 based on years of relevant experience Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Paid Holidays, Sick Leave as required by law This job opens for applications on12/12/2025.
