Basic Job Functions: The Maintenance Machinist position will be responsible for working to the highest levels of safety, quality, and productivity. This teammate will be responsible for performing all types of machinist duties in an industrial setting. The duties will include but are not limited to programming and operating CNC machines as well as manual machines, design and fabrication of parts, the ability and/or willingness to learn to draw and design with SolidWorks, a working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, fabrication, machine installation, and preventative maintenance. The teammate must be willing to work overtime with little or no notice as well as rotating shifts and weekends and holidays if needed. xrczosw Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
