San Francisco, CA (Hybrid – 4 days/week in person)

You’ll join as our
third engineer , working directly with the founders and early team to transform customer insights into fast, reliable, and scalable software. We are a well‑funded, tight‑knit team based in San Francisco, building at the intersection of AI and marketplaces — where spreadsheets meet real people.
This is a unique opportunity to
own major parts of the stack, shape the technical foundation, and set the culture
for how we build.
What You Will Do
Work closely with customers, founders, and GTM teammates to rapidly turn insights into product.
Own implementation across the stack and evolve architecture as the product and team scale.
Write clean, maintainable code and champion technical excellence.
Infuse marketplace mechanics with modern AI (voice, video, text) to improve onboarding, search, matching, and transaction guidance.
Collaborate on LLM and RAG pipelines to power workflows and automate diligence.
Run rapid product experiments and learning loops grounded in real user behavior.
What We’re Looking For Seniority & Experience
6+ years as a full‑stack engineer (70/30 backend/frontend ideal).
2+ years at startups (0 → 1 experience required).
Proven record of shipping user‑facing products with real business impact.
Previous founder or founding engineer experience strongly preferred.
FAANG/big tech experience welcome, but startup experience is essential.
Education
BS in Computer Science strongly preferred.
Top 50 school plus.
Hard Skills
Proficiency in Python.
Experience with AI/ML systems (LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector search, custom ML pipelines).
Django expertise.
React or Next.js experience.
Strong product instincts, UX focus, and bias for speed.
Soft Skills & Interests
High autonomy and entrepreneurial drive.
Interest in small businesses, entrepreneurship, or ownership transitions.
Curiosity for marketplace dynamics and applying AI to search, matching, and workflow challenges.
