About the Role We are seeking a cardiologist who is BC/BE in Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation to join our team at the Department of Cardiology at Ochsner Medical Center. The candidate will become part of a team that performs approximately 35 LVAD implantations and 25-30 heart transplants per year, with opportunities to participate in amyloidosis, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and pulmonary hypertension clinics.

Responsibilities The candidate will join a multidisciplinary team and demonstrate expertise in all aspects of Advanced Heart Failure, including inpatient, outpatient, and outreach services. The role involves participation in the cardiogenic shock initiative and working within the broader Ochsner Multi-Organ Transplant Institute, which is a regional leader in heart, lung, liver, kidney, pancreas, and dual organ transplantation.

Qualifications Board Certified/Board Eligible in Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation. Experience in LVAD implantation and heart transplantation preferred. Ability to work in an academic environment with a strong cardiology fellowship program is required.

Visa and Additional Information J1 visa opportunities available through FLEX Waiver.
