Vice President of Finance . This is a pivotal leadership opportunity for a forward-thinking financial executive who is passionate about improving healthcare access and outcomes.

Position Overview The VP of Finance is a key member of the executive leadership team and will lead all aspects of financial management, including strategic financial planning, budgeting, revenue cycle operations, grants management, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader and strategic partner to the CEO, with the ability to drive financial sustainability and support innovation in a rapidly evolving healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic financial leadership aligned with the Health Center’s mission and long‑term goals.

Oversee all accounting and financial operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP, federal cost principles, and regulatory requirements.

Direct the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.

Develop and manage the annual operating and capital budgets in collaboration with the executive team.

Prepare financial reports for grants, contracts, and funding sources, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.

Oversee business office operations, including registration, billing, collections, and reimbursement from Medicaid, Medicare, and other payers.

Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts and cash receipts.

Lead financial forecasting, analysis of revenue and expenditure trends, and make data‑driven recommendations to the CEO and Board.

Ensure effective internal controls and risk management processes are in place.

Supervise and develop fiscal department staff, including hiring, training, performance management, and workflow improvement.

Present financial updates to the Board of Directors and Executive Leadership as requested.

Evaluate and implement technology solutions to improve operational efficiency and data integrity.

Support organizational growth through sound financial planning, scenario modeling, and sustainable investment strategies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, or similar) or CPA preferred.

Minimum of 5–10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with strong preference for experience in community health or nonprofit healthcare.

Proven track record of managing complex budgets, grants, and reimbursement systems.

Deep understanding of value‑based care, healthcare compliance, and federal funding mechanisms.

Strong leadership, communication, and team‑building skills.
