Hiring: IAM Lead Engineer Local Candidates Only (DC, Maryland, Virginia) Are you a hands-on IAM expert who thrives on solving complex security challenges and leading from the front? We’re looking for a dynamic IAM Lead Engineer to join our security team and drive identity innovation across the enterprise. This is a hybrid role — you’ll collaborate in our Rockville, MD office 2–3 days a week with the flexibility to work remotely the rest of the time. What You’ll Do Lead IAM initiatives from design to delivery in a collaborative, fast-moving environment. Architect and implement SailPoint IdentityIQ solutions — from custom connectors to automation workflows. Leverage your Java skills to solve integration challenges and enhance IAM functionality. Deploy and optimize IAM solutions in AWS and other cloud environments. Partner with stakeholders, mentor engineers, and drive best practices across security and development teams. What We’re Looking For Deep, hands-on SailPoint IdentityIQ experience (beyond admin-level). Strong Java development background — able to read, debug, and build solutions. Experience with AWS IAM , automation, and scripting (Python, PowerShell, etc.). A leadership mindset — proactive, communicative, and solutions-focused. 5+ years in cybersecurity/IT, with at least 3 years in IAM solution engineering.
