KSW FCU is seeking an experienced, community-minded leader to serve as its next President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Established in 1954, KSW FCU proudly serves the residents of Kennebec, Somerset, and Waldo counties, helping members achieve their financial goals through trusted relationships, competitive products, and personal service.

About the Role: Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the President/CEO is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational excellence of KSW FCU. The ideal candidate will provide both visionary and hands‑on leadership. Ensuring the credit union remains financially strong, compliant, and member‑focused while continuing to grow and adapt in today’s changing financial landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives that advance the credit union’s mission and long‑term sustainability.

Ensure the credit union’s financial health through sound budgeting, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

Oversee operations and maintain a high standard of member service and operational efficiency.

Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and collaboration among employees and management.

Partner effectively with the Board of Directors to support transparent communication and strong governance.

Represent KSW FCU in the community and strengthen relationships with members, local organizations, and industry partners.

Identify and implement technology and process improvements that enhance the member experience and operational performance.

Ideal Candidate Profile: The successful candidate will be a values‑driven leader who embodies the cooperative spirit and member‑first philosophy of the credit union movement. They will demonstrate strong financial and operational acumen, the ability to lead through change, and a genuine commitment to community engagement.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field required; master’s degree or advanced certification (e.g., CPA, CCE) preferred.

10+ years of progressive leadership experience within the credit union or financial services industry.

Proven success in managing teams, driving strategy, and ensuring operational excellence.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with employees, members, and the Board.
