JOB DESCRIPTION Atlantic Health is Seeking an Outpatient Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist in Florham Park, New Jersey

Atlantic Health, one of New Jersey's largest non‑profit healthcare networks, is seeking a Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join the Department of Psychiatry at Morristown Medical Center, based at our newly renovated outpatient office in Florham Park, New Jersey.

This position offers a mix of traditional outpatient child and adolescent psychiatry and participation in the Pediatric Psychiatry Collaborative Program, a grant‑funded initiative that supports pediatricians in screening, assessing, diagnosing, and treating children with behavioral health disorders in primary care settings.

The Psychiatrist will provide direct patient care to include comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management for children and adolescents. The Psychiatrist will additionally serve as a consultant to pediatricians within the collaborative network.

Additional responsibilities include participation in treatment team meetings, mentorship of Advanced Practice Nurses, and collaboration with departmental leadership to ensure high‑quality care. The candidate will assume all responsibilities as a member of the Department of Psychiatry, including cross‑coverage at the main campus as needed and participation in on‑call and per‑diem coverage.

Qualifications

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry with subspecialty certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).

Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.

DEA registration and CDS certification, Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with developments in the field of psychiatry

Demonstrated ability to teach and mentor trainees (e.g., Advanced Practice Providers, residents, and medical students)

Familiarity with federal and state standards for psychiatric care

Demonstrated success working individually and as part of a team
