Position Overview Optigy is seeking experienced Hospitalist Physicians, including Nocturnists, for a long-term locum opportunity in Kansas City, MO. This role supports a large, high-acuity Level I Trauma Center with full specialty backup and a well-established hospital medicine program. Providers will work within a collaborative, team-based care model.
Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Comfortable working in a Level I Trauma Center environment
Ability to manage high-acuity inpatient medical patients
No procedures
Willingness to work day or night shifts based on availability
Clean file preferred for presentation
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care to adult patients
Manage admissions, rounding, and cross-coverage responsibilities
Collaborate with intensivists, specialty consultants, and advanced practice providers
Participate in multidisciplinary care for critically ill patients
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR
Position Details
Schedule:
Flexible scheduling (Day and Night options available)
Day Coverage Model:
6 MD/DOs (7am–7pm): 1 admitting, 5 rounding
3 NP/PAs (7am–7pm): rounding
Night Coverage Model:
1 NP/PA (5pm–5am): cross coverage
1 MD/DO (7pm–7am): admitting
On-call:
No
Contract Type:
Daily OT after 12 hours (based on differential)
