The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek a Movement Disorders Clinical Faculty to join the Department of Neurology. The position is open to fellowship‑trained movement neurologists, ideally at a junior to mid‑career stage, who are interested in a broad clinical practice, teaching, and scholarly activity.
Department/Division Overview The Department of Neurology at OSUWMC has 15 specialized divisions, 63 physicians, 5 psychologists, 12 dedicated research faculty, 24 residents, and 14 fellows. It delivers subspecialty care across seven ambulatory facilities and three hospitals, operates 27 multidisciplinary clinics, and supports extensive research and tele‑neurology services. The Division of Movement Disorders is a Parkinson’s Foundation Comprehensive Care Center, offering interdisciplinary care including advanced practice providers, genetic counselors, and neuropsychology services.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide outpatient evaluation and management of movement disorder patients, including botulinum toxin injections and advanced therapies such as deep brain stimulation and focused ultrasound.
Participate in inpatient service and other clinical activities as required.
Supervise trainees in movement disorder assessments, including medical students, residents, and fellows.
Develop partnerships with referring physicians and hospitals in the community.
Engage in clinical teaching and supporting the educational mission of the department.
Requirements
MD or equivalent medical degree.
Completed at least one year of a movement disorders fellowship.
Current Board certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (or board‑eligible within two years of residency).
Unrestricted Ohio license to practice medicine or proof of intent to obtain one.
Strong clinical teaching skills, bedside manner, and professionalism.
Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
