Position Overview
West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Pediatrics seek a Pediatric Nephrologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will practice in Morgantown, WV.
Duties
Practice pediatric nephrology as part of a nephrology team comprising a pediatric nephrologist, advanced practice provider, and nurse coordinator.
Manage inpatient and outpatient dialysis of all forms.
Run ambulatory blood‑pressure monitoring program.
Perform renal biopsies.
Collaborate closely with WVU Medicine Children’s top‑50 pediatric urology program and maintain collegial relationships with neonatologists, hospitalists, and intensivists.
Engage in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Qualifications
MD, DO, or foreign equivalent, eligible for a West Virginia state medical license.
Completion of a pediatric residency program and a pediatric nephrology fellowship program.
Board‑certified or board‑eligible in pediatrics and pediatric nephrology.
All qualifications met by time of appointment.
Location and Schedule Practice location: 1 Medical Center Drive, Morgantown, WV.
Scheduled weekly hours: 40.
Shift: –
Exempt/Non‑Exempt: United States of America (Exempt).
