The salary range for this position is $181,400- $247,800. The salary range for this position is $187,400- $255,800. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan (https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/apm/apm-670.pdf), which provides for eligibility for additional compensation beyond this base salary.

Position Description The Department of Neurosurgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA currently seeks applicants for a physiatrist faculty position at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level (HS Clinical series) with focus and expertise on cranial and spinal neurological disorders. The physiatrist will work with an interdisciplinary team including neurosurgeons, advanced practice providers (APP), and physical and occupational therapists.
The physiatrist will hold clinics at one or more UCLA Health clinic locations and see inpatient and outpatient consults. Clinics will include performing and interpreting electrodiagnostic studies and evidence‑based interventions. The physiatrist should be familiar with examining and supporting the needs of acute and chronic neurologic diseases. This entails initial and follow‑up assessments of motor function and functional needs, including the evaluation and management of pain, management of baclofen pumps, neuromuscular injections, assessment of orthotics, and the management of medications. Clinical and research expertise in the rehabilitation treatment of motor, sensory, and functional perturbations associated with central and peripheral nervous system injury conditions is sought.
Qualifications Basic qualifications:
Candidates must have an M.D. degree or equivalent, and eligibility for California medical licensure at time of hire.
Additional qualifications:
Candidates must be board certified or eligible and have completed their fellowship training in physical medicine and rehabilitation.
