We currently seek a
Career Coach
to join our Workforce Development team! The Career Coach will support participants eligible for our Janitorial Maintenance Services opportunities, assist returning citizens in reentry into the community after incarceration, screen eligible candidates, conduct intakes, manage cases, and make referrals. The position is on‑site at our Brooklyn office with occasional travel to our Bronx office. The anticipated start date is October 2025. Salary:
$28.57 – $29.58 per hour Requirements
Essential Duties
Lead orientation for new participants and ensure eligibility for the program. Administer individual and group counseling sessions as required. Provide case management services through regular participant engagements (averaging a caseload of approximately 25 clients, varying by program needs). Conduct screenings, intakes, and program referrals based on clients' needs. Collect all documentation to maintain compliance with program requirements from our funding sources. Facilitate work‑readiness group sessions/workshops focused on employment and job readiness training such as resume preparation, interview skills, time management, and other skill‑building activities. Utilize Osborne’s Salesforce database to document all participant activity—including case management, referrals, and group activities—in a timely manner. Collaborate with program staff to develop training opportunities that increase vocational skills. Attend required training. Perform in‑person collaboration—an essential function of the job. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or Criminal Justice; if no degree, a high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of three years of case management experience. Minimum two years of experience facilitating workshops—including job readiness training, mock interviews, resume preparation, and conducting individual and group counseling sessions. Key Competencies
Engaging personality and detailed orientated skills. Strong oral and written communication, time management, and organizational skills. Knowledge of Google Apps, MS Word, Excel, and database management skills. Familiarity with community resources. Ability to travel locally between Osborne offices as needed. Ability to solve problems, make decisions, resolve conflicts, and listen. Access skills to remain calm in crisis situations. Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups.
