We are looking for a Controller to manage daily accounting activities. These include help with AP, AR, Payroll, and bank reconciliations. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and supporting leadership with timely financial insights. This role requires a hands‑on leader who is comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, service‑based environment.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and month‑end close

Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulations

Develop, document, and maintain internal controls and accounting policies

Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

Oversee cash flow management and banking relationships

Coordinate with external CPA firms for tax filings and audits

Provide financial analysis and reporting to ownership and leadership

Support operational teams with job costing, margin analysis, and performance tracking

Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff (as applicable)

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)

5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibility

Experience in service‑based, construction, or facilities‑related industries strongly preferred

Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls

Proficiency with accounting software and Excel (job costing experience a plus)

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to work independently and take ownership of outcomes
