Dynapower is seeking a Firmware Engineer to join our dynamic team dedicated to advancing electrical power conversion technologies. As a Firmware Engineer at Dynapower, you will play a pivotal role in the development, testing, and implementation of embedded firmware for our range of inverters, converters, and rectifiers used in renewable energy systems, energy storage solutions, hydrogen generation applications, and more. The successful candidate will work with a variety of embedded controllers, including TI DSPs, NI embedded controllers, FPGAs, and other specialized microcontrollers. General Responsibilities

Key participant in analyzing, designs, programs, debugs and modified software Collaborates on the troubleshooting of codes for firmware applications Organizes analog and digital hardware and software operating systems Position requires knowledge and exposure to hardware design Key participant in the programming of machine language, assembly language and high level languages Experience / Qualifications

A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience. Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers Additional Responsibilities Algorithm Implementation: Implement control algorithms and optimize them for real-time applications, ensuring precise and efficient power conversion in various environments and applications. Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Simulation: Utilize HIL simulation techniques to validate firmware performance, ensuring seamless integration with the electrical power conversion products. Experience with HIL simulation tools and methodologies is a strong asset. Documentation: Create detailed technical documentation, including specifications, test procedures, and design documents, tailored to the specific embedded controllers used, to support firmware development and product validation. Compliance and Standards: Ensure firmware compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols relevant to the specific embedded controllers employed in electrical power conversion products. Additional Experience / Qualifications Experience in firmware development for embedded systems, with expertise in working with TI DSPs, NI embedded controllers, FPGAs, and other specialized microcontrollers. Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and Assembly for different embedded platforms. Understanding of control algorithms, digital signal processing, and real-time operating systems. Experience with communication protocols like CAN, Modbus, SPI, and I2C, adapted for different embedded platforms. Familiarity with hardware-software co-design and simulation tools such as Matlab/Simulink, specifically optimized for TI DSPs, NI embedded controllers, FPGAs, and other microcontrollers. Familiarity with inverter industry standards such as IEEE 1547-2018, UL 1998 and IEEE 2800. *This position requires eligibility to obtain authorization under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
