Position Title: Child Neurology – Open Rank
Location: North Carolina, US
Position Summary The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Division of Pediatric Neurology seeks a board‑eligible or board‑certified neurologist for Assistant, Associate, and Professor level appointments. The role focuses on clinical trials, research, and clinical service in child neurology. The physician will participate in pediatric neurology and neurodevelopmental clinical trials through the Carolina Institute for Developmental Disabilities and the UNC Neurology Clinical Trials Unit, and will have the opportunity to grow and direct new clinical trials in pediatric cohorts. The division offers a comprehensive epilepsy level IV section, multidisciplinary epilepsy treatment including epilepsy surgery, VNS, and ketogenic diet, and internationally acclaimed programs such as the Carolina Institute for Developmental Disabilities, TEACCH Autism Program, North Carolina Neuroscience Center, UNC Center for AIDS research, UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, and robust neurofibromatosis, pediatric sleep medicine, SMA, and epilepsy programs.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in ongoing pediatric neurology and neurodevelopmental clinical trials.
Grow and direct additional clinical trials within the investigator’s interests.
Provide clinical service in multidisciplinary epilepsy and other subspecialty clinics.
Engage in education and research activities across the department.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Candidates must hold an M.D., D.O., or equivalent and be board‑certified or board‑eligible.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Clinical and/or research interests in child neurology.
