Responsibilities The Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic Surgery at Loyola University Health System has an immediate opening for a Board Certified / Board Eligible Plastic Reconstructive surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level with expertise in microsurgery, emphasizing breast, lower extremity, and lymphedema reconstruction. Join a growing faculty in a collaborative environment. A microsurgical fellowship is preferred. The preferred candidate will be active academically and will pursue clinical research interests.
The Division’s main clinical base is Loyola University Medical Center, with Gottlieb Memorial Hospital and the Hines VA Hospital also served by the group. Loyola Medicine is a quaternary care system based in Chicago’s western suburbs, including Loyola University Medical Center (LUMC) in Maywood and Gottlieb Memorial Hospital (GMH) in Melrose Park, among other locations. The system includes a 547‑bed Loyola University Medical Center, the William G. and Mary A. Ryan Center for Heart & Vascular Medicine, Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center, a Level 1 trauma center, Illinois’s largest burn center, a comprehensive stroke center, and a children’s hospital. Loyola trains the next generation of caregivers through its affiliation with Loyola University Chicago’s Stritch School of Medicine and Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing.
Minimum Education and Experience Board Eligible or Board Certified in Plastic Surgery (BE/BC). Microsurgical fellowship preferred.
