is currently seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team and help us continue our mission of providing exceptional care in a supportive, family-like environment.
Job Summary The
Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)
serves on the nursing leadership team, reporting directly to the Director of Nursing (DON). The ADON supports the DON in managing daily nursing operations and ensuring the delivery of outstanding, person-centered care.
Responsibilities
Ensure 24-hour nursing coverage
Delegate responsibilities to Charge Nurses and Supervisors
Assist DON with staffing and scheduling as needed
Monitor staff education and conduct in-service trainings
Oversee admissions and readmissions for compliance with Medicare and regulatory standards
Monitor resident care, medication administration, and treatment plans
Conduct daily rounds to ensure quality and adherence to clinical standards
Build team engagement and resolve personnel concerns
Communicate resident eligibility/status changes to providers within 24 hours
Provide direct nursing care and perform additional duties as assigned by DON
Qualifications
Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania (unencumbered)
Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in long‑term care, hospital, or related healthcare setting
Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
Prior long‑term care experience highly preferred
Education
Degree in Nursing from an accredited school required; BSN preferred
