Summary As a PRN Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), you're pivotal in providing comprehensive respiratory care and evaluating patients with respiratory illnesses. Your responsibilities include critical care support, emergency room assistance, ventilator management, oxygen therapy, aerosolized medication delivery, and CPR/code team participation. You're also trained in Pulmonary Diagnostics, Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, and EEG/NCV procedures. Collaborating closely with the healthcare team, you set therapeutic goals, operate diagnostic equipment, and maintain accurate documentation.

Minimum Qualifications
Graduate of an approved Respiratory Care Practitioner program.
Associate degree required; BS/BA degree is desirable.
PRN candidates with demonstrated experience in similar RCS divisions.
Licensure/Certification
Current active license from the State of Maryland Physician Board Quality Assurance (MPBQA). Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
Current CPR CERTIFICATION.
Definitions of the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) are as follows:
RR-Registered Respiratory Therapist (Advanced Practitioner) required effective 3/1/2020.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within six months of hire. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred.
Must pass hospital Arrhythmia test within three months.
Knowledge/Skills
Must be able to understand medical terminology, medical anatomy and physiology and effectively convey this information in written and verbal format to others.
Strong understanding of pulmonary anatomy and physiology relative to the tests performed.
Should be mechanically inclined with good manual dexterity for equipment troubleshooting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
Salary Range: Minimum $44.00/hour - Maximum $44.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
