Manager, Manufacturing/Equipment Engineering – Engineering Manufacturing Supporting efficient and economical mass production of goods at Johns Creek, GA, USA, the Manager, Manufacturing/Equipment Engineering will design, develop, and implement new or revised production processes and lead a small team of Equipment Engineers.
Typical Day Responsibilities
Manage a small team of Equipment Engineers
Learn and specialize in manufacturing equipment
Specify requirements and procedures for new and existing equipment
Purchase and own the installation and qualification of new equipment and retrofits
Adapt manufacturing equipment in response to factory conditions
Conduct tests through all stages of production to improve control over applicable variables and troubleshoot/solve production problems
Develop and perform change control and qualification activities
Provide guidance to Manufacturing, Maintenance, and Training on technical details that will best use equipment and manufacturing techniques
Ensure that production processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
or equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs.; Assoc.+9 yrs.; M.S.+2 yrs.; PhD+1 yr.)
The ability to read, write, understand, and communicate fluently in English
5 Years of Relevant Experience
3 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
Work hours: Exempt
Travel Requirements: 2‑10%

Preferred Qualifications / Skills / Experience
Bachelors in engineering field (mechanical, electrical, etc.)
Computer programming experience
