We are seeking a

Senior Investment Associate

to join our growing team. This person will play a central role in sourcing, evaluating, and developing investment opportunities across asset classes with a particular emphasis on

private markets ,

impact‑aligned strategies

and leading the expansion of Montcalm’s service offerings with

new allocation models and products .

This is a hybrid role based in the Presidio in San Francisco.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support due diligence on alternative investments including private credit, private equity, venture, and real assets, especially regenerative or mission‑aligned strategies.

Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of managers, fund structures, performance, risk factors, and broader market context.

Support the full due diligence lifecycle: sourcing, screening, modeling, reference checks, investment memos, and ongoing reporting.

Maintain relationships with fund managers, co‑investors, and ecosystem partners, and leverage partners to streamline due diligence.

Product Development (40%)

Collaborate with senior leadership to build and refine Montcalm’s new

Resonance Allocation

product integrating purpose, values mapping, and investment rigor.

Help design new investment structures and offerings that reflect Montcalm’s philosophy and client needs.

Contribute to research on emerging opportunities in values‑aligned, regenerative, and next‑economy investing.

Assist with thematic research on markets, economic conditions, and impact‑aligned trends.

Prepare clear, thoughtful materials for the Investment Committee and for clients.

Participate in portfolio monitoring, reporting, and ongoing risk assessment across client accounts.

Qualifications

3–6 years

of experience in investment research, due diligence, private markets, or related fields.

Demonstrated experience evaluating private market strategies or alternative investments.

Strong analytical skills and financial modeling proficiency.

Experience preparing due diligence materials and investment memos.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to translate complexity into clarity.

Ability to maintain professional, values‑aligned relationships with clients and partners.

Curiosity, humility, and a strong interest in the intersection of finance, purpose, and human well‑being.

Comfort working in a nimble, evolving, entrepreneurial environment.

MBA or CFA a plus but not required.

$90k–$130k

base salary, depending on experience, plus a performance‑based bonus.
