We are seeking a
Senior Data Architect
to lead
data architecture and design
across
real-time streaming and enterprise batch systems . You will be the principal authority for data modeling, integration, and architecture patterns that enable
Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Finance
use cases. This role is more than technical design—it requires the ability to
transform data into business processes , shaping standard, reusable data models that enable “ build once, use everywhere ” solutions across domains. By creating
extensible and scalable architectures , you will help Autodesk accelerate business agility and AI-driven innovation. Reporting into the
Chief Architect , you will
partner with PSET Infra (for PaaS platforms), Data Science, Finance, and Business Leaders
to design future‑proof, governed, and scalable data architectures. What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
Enterprise & Real‑Time Data Architecture
Define
end‑to‑end data architecture
across batch and streaming systems for GTM (Sales, Marketing, Customer Success) and Finance Forecasting use cases. Architect
real‑time data flows
(e.g., Kafka/Flink/Spark Streaming) that support personalization, marketing triggers, pipeline health monitoring, and customer success alerts. Establish
data lakehouse strategies
(Iceberg, Delta, Hudi) with schema evolution, partitioning, and performance tuning –‑ in partnership and collaboration with Platform (PSET) teams. Partner with
MDM teams
to design
canonical, reusable customer, account, and product models
that unify systems of record (CRM, ERP, Support, Marketing). Design
semantic and dimensional data models
optimized for visualization, BI, and forecasting (star schemas, snowflake schemas, semantic layers). Embed
lineage, observability, privacy, and compliance
into all architecture patterns. Business Process Transformation
Translate raw data into
standardized business process models
(lead‑to‑cash, quote‑to‑order, marketing‑to‑revenue, customer health‑to‑renewal). Create
standard data models
that are reusable across functions, enabling
“build once, use everywhere” adoption . Ensure that these models form the foundation for
extensible and scalable solutions
across multiple Autodesk domains. Partner with GTM leaders to ensure data architecture aligns with
business processes, KPIs, and forecasting accuracy . AI & Forecasting Readiness
Collaborate with Data Science to design architectures for
ML feature stores
supporting forecasting, churn models, and sales propensity scoring. Enable
RAG/LLM applications
by designing architectures for
retrieval‑ready data lakes
and knowledge‑augmented AI. Architect streaming‑based
feedback loops
to continually refine personalization, sales engagement, and customer success models. Leadership & Collaboration
Serve as the
trusted architecture partner
for GTM business leaders. Provide
technical mentorship
to senior data engineers and architects. Partner with
PSET Infra
to align architecture with platform guardrails. Document and evangelize
reference architectures, reusable models, and design standards
across Autodesk. What You’ve Done (Minimum Qualifications)
12+ years of experience in
data engineering/architecture , with at least 5+ years as a
principal or lead data architect . Deep expertise in
real‑time streaming architectures
(Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming). Hands‑on experience with
data lakes and lakehouse technologies
(Iceberg, Delta, Hudi) and
cloud data warehouses
(Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks). Proven background in
Master Data Management (MDM)
and canonical data modeling (customer, product, account hierarchies). Strong proficiency in
data modeling for analytics/visualization
(dimensional/star schema, semantic layers, OLAP). Ability to
transform data into business process frameworks
(e.g., lead‑to‑cash, marketing attribution, customer success). Track record of delivering
scalable, extensible solutions
through
standardized, reusable models . Experience embedding
governance, lineage, privacy, and compliance

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $147,600 and $238,700. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
