Department Overview The Senior Presales Architect is a senior-level technical expert who plays a pivotal role in the sales process. They're the bridge between a company's sales team and its technical solutions, using their deep product knowledge and industry expertise to understand a client's business needs and design a compelling technical solution. They're not just selling a product; they're selling a vision and a strategy for how that product will solve a client's problems.

Job Description The Senior Technical Architect will be responsible for supporting and providing technical subject matter expertise for the US Federal Motorola Solutions Account team and Federal Video Security & Access Control Specialist team which includes Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD). The Senior Technical Architect will be responsible for high value solution designs across Motorola and / or third party technologies based on customer needs and requirements.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Detailed requirement review and compliance matrices

Technical proposal content

Comprehensive equipment list (BOM)

Customer meeting support

Collaboration and support for partner community

Technical Show Support

Delivering Product Demos to end users and at trade shows

Continuous technical training on existing and new technologies

Engaging in innovative opportunities with strategic technology partners based on customer opportunities

Specific Knowledge/Skills:

Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years of experience in needs analysis and solution design

OR 11+ years of experience in needs analysis and solution design

Engineering, IT, or Computer Science bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred

Must be a US Citizen with ability to obtain a necessary security clearance as required by government contract

Experience working with the Federal Government

Strong ability to draw out customer needs / requirements

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Excellent presentation and demo skills

Practice of selling for outcomes and capabilities versus product

Highly motivated and strong team player

Experience with Computer-aided Dispatch (CAD)

Experience working with telephony protocols such as SIP and h.323

Experience with IP network design and administration

Experience with multicast IP routing

Preferred experience with PBX design

Preferred experience with RAVE Mobile Safety Suite

Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permitsponsorship is not available for this position.

Target Base Salary Range: $70,000 -$90,000 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

Basic Requirements

Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years of experience in needs analysis and solution design

OR 11+ years of experience in needs analysis and solution design

Travel Requirements 25-50%
