Use open‑source and digital technologies to mine complex, voluminous, and heterogeneous data from multiple sources. Develop well‑managed data solutions, tools, and capabilities that enable self‑service data consumption. Explore and adopt new technologies rapidly to advance various initiatives. Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into tools, metrics, and dashboards that deliver actionable insights. Drive analyses that inform and support business strategy. Data Management
Ensure adherence to data quality principles—metadata, lineage, and business definitions. Partner with technical teams to manage security mechanisms and data access governance. Create and run tools that monitor and report on data quality. Our ideal candidate will have
Degree in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics discipline. Experience scripting in Python, R, Spark, and SQL. Strong background with data in various forms—including data warehouses/SQL and unstructured data. Experience developing within AWS services. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science) plus at least 5 years of data analytics experience; OR Master’s Degree plus at least 3 years of experience, with the degree expected by start date. At least 3 years’ experience with a scripting language. At least 3 years’ experience using a business intelligence visualization tool. At least 3 years’ experience querying, analyzing, and working with data platforms. Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline. At least 4 years of coding experience in Python, R, Spark, or SQL. At least 4 years’ experience applying process‑management and improvement methodologies (Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.). At least 2 years’ experience using AWS services. At least 2 years’ experience delivering data governance and data quality management concepts in the financial services industry. Compensation
Richmond, VA: $115,900 – $132,200 for Principal Data Analyst. Performance‑based incentive compensation may also be available.
