Job Summary The Scientist (non‑PhD) on the Client Biology team will play a critical role in advancing next‑generation client technologies. The position involves collaborative, cross‑functional research from early discoveries through pre‑clinical development. You will develop assays and support screening and identification of client chemotypes that function as payloads for antibody‑drug conjugates (ADCs) for cancer therapy. The role is largely lab‑based, with equal amounts of office work, including lab notebook documentation, group meetings, and presentations.

Base Pay Range $56.00/hr – $56.00/hr

Responsibilities

Apply cellular, biochemical, immunological, and molecular biology techniques to preclinical cancer signaling and biology research.

Develop, optimize, and execute complex assays to investigate mechanisms of action (MOAs) of therapeutics.

Interact and collaborate with cross‑functional research teams.

Provide leadership in your technical area; may train, direct, or mentor others.

Design and execute key experiments to evaluate client therapeutic targets and payload MOAs to drive go/no‑go decisions.

Independently analyze data, document results, and present findings to large and small audiences.

Maintain rigorous experimental records using electronic laboratory notebooks.

Present experimental results and scientific rationale to colleagues and stakeholders.

Execute molecular, biochemical, and cell‑based methodologies including cytotoxicity assays, HiBit, HTRF, ELISA, Western blotting, automated liquid handling, multicolor flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, and live‑cell microscopy.

Perform and support additional experiments as needed within the client discovery research team.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Cellular/Molecular Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, or related field with 6+ years of relevant industry experience, or M.S. degree in related fields with 4+ years of relevant industry experience.

Strong experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and analytical software (Prism, FlowJo, etc.).

Experience designing, performing, and interpreting complex experiments requiring significant scientific insight.

Working knowledge of cancer biology and therapeutics, including small molecule agents, biologics, and ADCs.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Proven experience collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.

Experience leading components of projects or initiatives within area of expertise.

Excellent written and oral communication skills with experience presenting scientific work to stakeholders.

Hands‑on cell culture experience.

Prefer candidates with more than 4 years of complex assay development experience; candidates directly out of undergrad are not preferred.

Preferred Requirements

Experience in experimental cancer biology, biochemical, and immunological techniques (e.g., cell culture, cytotoxicity assays, HiBit, HTRF, ELISA, Western blotting, automated liquid handling, multicolor flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, live‑cell microscopy).

Background in cell signaling and biochemistry.

Experience developing complex cell‑based and biochemical assays.

Pay Transparency The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is $56.00 – $56.00 per hour. Non‑exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for hours worked over 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts within the base pay range are determined by factors including skills, education, and experience. Full‑time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages (medical, dental, vision, health savings accounts, paid time off, bereavement leave, 401(k) participation with employer match, life and disability insurance, commuter benefits, dependent care FSA, accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, travel reimbursement, and discretionary performance or recognition bonus). Sick leave and mobile phone reimbursement provided based on state or local law.
