Our client is seeking a Tax Manager to oversee corporate income tax compliance and planning across a diversified real‑estate portfolio. This role is heavily focused on C‑corporation (Form 1120) tax matters and will work closely with accounting, finance, and external advisors to ensure accurate and timely filings.
Responsibilities
Oversee quarterly and annual tax provisions, including ASC 740 calculations.
Coordinate with external tax advisors on compliance, audits, and planning initiatives.
Support tax structuring and planning related to acquisitions, dispositions, and restructurings.
Monitor changes in federal and state tax law impacting real‑estate and corporate entities.
Review book‑to‑tax differences, deferred tax assets/liabilities, and return‑to‑provision reconciliations.
Partner with internal accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate tax reporting.
Assist with state and local tax matters (apportionment, nexus, filings).
Maintain tax calendars, documentation, and internal controls.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA or Master’s in Taxation preferred.
5+ years of progressive corporate tax experience.
Strong experience with Form 1120 and multi‑state corporate filings.
Real‑estate industry experience strongly preferred.
Prior public accounting and/or in‑house real‑estate experience a plus.
Working knowledge of ASC 740 and corporate tax provisions.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
