Modern Technology Solutions Incorporated (MTSI) is seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our team in developing and applying advanced data science techniques to support the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC). This position will focus heavily on artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) image processing capabilities, emphasizing innovation and impactful research and development (R&D) efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Apply advanced AI/ML techniques to image processing challenges within DoD/IC environments.
Design, develop, and implement data pipelines and algorithm frameworks to streamline operational processes and enhance analytical results.
Work collaboratively on multiple simultaneous projects, managing priorities effectively within dynamic R&D settings.
Leverage coding and scripting languages such as Python, Java, and SQL to develop scalable and effective data solutions.
Analyze complex datasets and extract actionable insights that align with mission requirements.
Effectively communicate technical concepts and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Foster collaboration across multidisciplinary teams while demonstrating independence when needed.
Required Qualifications
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Bachelor's degree in Data Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience within DoD or Intelligence Community environments.
Active TS/SCI clearance with willingness to undergo a CI Polygraph.
Expertise in advanced AI/ML image processing techniques.
Proficiency in coding/scripting languages such as Python, Java, or SQL.
Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and prioritize tasks effectively in dynamic R&D conditions.
Communication Skills: Strong ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
Collaboration: Exceptional teamwork skills with the adaptability for both collaborative and independent work environments.
Desired Qualifications
Experience with GEOINT processing research and development.
Extensive background in applying advanced AI/ML image processing techniques to DoD EO/IR data.
Demonstrated experience automating data and algorithm pipelines to accelerate results generation.
6+ years of relevant professional experience.
Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
Master's degree in Data Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
