Our rapidly expanding, nationally recognized cancer institute seeks to hire a full‑time Fellowship‑trained Gastrointestinal Medical Oncologist for a clinical‑research position at City of Hope in Duarte. We are looking for research‑and‑mission‑minded physicians. Every discovery we make and every new treatment we create gives patients the chance to live longer, better, and more fully.
Primary Responsibilities
Work in the Division for Gastrointestinal Oncology within the Department of Medical Oncology.
Commit to clinical excellence and innovation with a strong track record in research.
Participate in clinical or basic‑science research relevant to GI medical oncology, including submission and presentation of abstracts in residency and publication of manuscripts.
Full‑time position working within an established team of physicians and nurses in an integrated, multidisciplinary department.
Work with six full‑time faculty members.
Protected research/academic time.
Assist in the growth of various clinical programs, including colorectal, hepatobiliary, pancreatic, neuroendocrine, and gastro‑oesophageal cancers.
Primary clinical responsibilities centered on the care of gastrointestinal cancer patients.
Pay & Benefits Base Salary Range:
$300,000 – $500,000 (the range listed is exclusively for base compensation for full‑time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual compensation will be adjusted for experience, training, hospital/community need, and other factors.)

Qualifications
Early to mid‑career candidates welcome to apply.
Must be eligible to obtain or already hold an active California medical license.
ABIM board certification in medical oncology or hematology/oncology, with additional experience in gastrointestinal oncology.
