Overview
Capital One’s fast‑growing consumer app, Capital One Shopping, is seeking a Sr. Business Manager to help shape a new consumer product that changes the way people buy online.
The role is based remotely and supports a mission to deliver a best‑in‑class shopping and savings experience while driving sales for merchant partners.
Summary As a Business Analysis Manager, you will apply strategic and analytical skills to major company challenges.
You will work with world‑class professionals to develop and test strategies that ultimately impact the bottom line in a collaborative environment that values insight, encourages growth, and rewards innovation.
General Responsibilities
Strategically lead the development of business strategies that drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for Capital One in a landscape of shifting consumer and regulatory dynamics.
Manage and develop 1‑2 analysts, coaching and mentoring associates to build and retain talent.
Lead product strategy, including new product and pricing initiatives, and conduct product‑level modeling and analytics.
Directly manage marketing efforts for select products, crafting strategic intent for retail‑channel distribution and building insights to inform new customer experiences and breakthrough technologies.
Drive improvements in credit performance by linking future consumer credit trends to historical behavior, creating risk models, and rigorously monitoring and testing hypotheses.
Execute business intent, build requirements, and oversee multiple projects and programs simultaneously.
Partner closely with IT, Sales, Operations, Finance, and other Capital One entities to enhance quality, volume, service, and profitability.
Leverage a proven track record of decision making based on analytics, balancing strong quantitative orientation with conceptual thinking.
Display strong business judgment, leadership, integrity, and a tenacious decision‑making style that drives aggressive yet responsible results.
Demonstrate solid people‑leadership, building high‑performing teams and business partner relationships to foster innovation, accountability, and continuous delivery.
Communicate executive‑level insights in written and oral form, influencing agreements and driving consensus.
Maintain clear results orientation, focusing on short‑ and long‑term goals in an uncertain environment.
Exhibit a successful track record thriving in fast‑paced, entrepreneurial, dynamic settings; previous consulting experience is a plus.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering).
At least 2 years of quantitative analysis experience.
At least 2 years of qualitative analysis experience.
At least 1 year of people‑management experience.
At least 1 year of project‑management experience.
At least 2 years of SQL or similar relational data manipulation (e.g., Alteryx, advanced Excel).
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Business or a quantitative field.
5+ years in quantitative analysis.
5+ years in qualitative analysis.
2+ years in people management.
2+ years in product development.
2+ years in financial modeling.
2+ years in economic forecasting.
2+ years in project management.
3+ years of SQL experience.

For example, the minimum and maximum full‑time annual salaries are $175,500–$200,300 for remote or $210,500–$240,300 for New York, NY.
