Job Responsibilities The Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at Loyola University Chicago (LUC) Stritch School of Medicine is recruiting a medical director/vice chair to oversee anesthesiology services. The role will lead a dynamic team of physicians, CRNAs, and anesthesiology residents, supervising trainees from multiple disciplines and teaching medical students.

Key duties include overseeing clinical care in complex orthopaedic, neurosurgical, obstetrical, urologic, surgical oncology, and trauma procedures; ensuring patient safety and quality of care; and contributing to faculty ranks and compensation commensurate with experience.

The candidate will maintain board certification, lead innovations in anesthesiology, and represent Loyola in a nationally ranked quaternary care system.

Qualifications Board Certified in Anesthesia; licensed to practice in the State of Illinois at the time of hire.

Salary & Benefits

Competitive starting compensation between $159,000 – $985,945

Salary based on academic rank and experience
