Requirements SSC seeks a motivated Business Development Analyst to conduct federal opportunity research, market intelligence, and early capture support across DoD, DLA, DHS, and other federal agencies. This is an ideal role for transitioning military personnel with 4–10 years of experience, particularly from Logistics, Supply, Technical, Operations, or administrative backgrounds. Prior Business Development or Government Contracting experience is desirable but not required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Market Research & Opportunity Identification
Conduct ongoing research across DoD (Navy, Marine Corps, Army, Air Force), DLA, and DHS sub‑agencies to identify upcoming solicitations and trends.
Monitor SAM.gov, GovWin, agency forecasts, and procurement systems.
Review SOW/PWS and RFIs to extract key requirements.
Identify customer pain points, spending patterns, and competitive context.
Pipeline & Early Capture Support
Maintain SSC’s internal BD pipeline.
Draft opportunity summaries and assessments.
Assist in capture planning (SWOT, teaming, competitive reviews).
Track acquisition timelines and contract vehicle pathways.
Marketing, Outreach, & Client Engagement Support
Support SSC leadership in Marketing and Outreach calls with federal agencies and teaming partners.
Prepare call materials, capability briefs, and follow‑up summaries.
Develop handouts, digital collateral, and agency‑specific capability materials.
Record outcomes, action items, and next steps from outreach.
Writing & Documentation Support
Draft research briefs, opportunity notes, BD memos, and outreach summaries in Word with consistent formatting.
Maintain and update Excel trackers and analytic spreadsheets (opportunities, contacts, metrics).
Create and refine PowerPoint slides summarizing research and BD insights.
Organize and version‑control BD and proposal documents in SharePoint.
Update past performance summaries from SOW/PWS content and internal inputs.
Provide structured research for proposals and review BD materials for clarity and accuracy.
AI‑Enabled Research & Productivity Support
Use AI tools including ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, and application‑specific AI modules.
Conduct document summarization, competitive intelligence, and research organization.
Create structured outlines and briefing content.
Internal Coordination
Collaborate with SSC’s BD, Capture, Proposal, and Operations teams.
Gather insights from SMEs and program staff.
Participate in BD pipeline meetings and provide research updates.
Required Qualifications
Associate degree required; Bachelor’s preferred.
4–10 years military or civilian operational experience (Logistics, Supply, Technical, Operations, Administration, etc.).
Strong analytical and foundational writing skills.
Experience with AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, etc.).
Highly organized and detail‑oriented.
Desired Qualifications & Experience
Familiarity with SAM.gov, GovWin, FPDS, or similar systems.
Experience supporting DoD, VA, and/or DHS mission areas.
Exposure to contracting, proposals, or capture environments.
Interest in Business Development, Capture, or Proposal career paths.
