Required Qualifications:
Must be a US Citizen Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph BS or MS degree in relevant Science, Technology, or Engineering field of study 8+ Years of work experience in a relevant field, ideally on satellite programs (government or commercial) Superb technical skills and experience related to ground systems hardware and software Experience architecting, engineering, developing, and deploying large scale network solutions Experience architecting, engineering, developing, and deploying large scale cloud solutions Effective communication, coordination, and customer engagement skills Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic, and team-oriented environment without supervision Desired Qualifications:
12+ Years of work experience in a relevant field, ideally on satellite programs (government or commercial) Cloud provider certifications such as AWS / Azure Solution Architect CompTIA, Cisco, or other industry network engineering certifications Familiarity with cryptographic security management and implementations to support ground architectures This position is for an IT Infrastructure Engineer for a large, multi-year contract providing Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) support to new acquisitions of cutting-edge and innovative space program(s). The IT Infrastructure Engineer oversees developer progress in deploying and maintaining a complex ground system architecture, with focus on Enterprise IT, networks, and cloud-based systems. The position provides support to the customer’s execution of the Program with responsibilities that include, but are not limited to: Role Responsibilities:
Supports the planning and engineering of the Program’s network and cloud computing infrastructure and applications Works with development teams to address architecture, integration, and technical issues Advises on practical implementations and develops findings and work‑off plans Translates strategic architectures into implementation level guidance Supports IT‑related tasks in areas such as developing requirements, placing / monitoring service requests, monitoring cloud costs, and conducting on‑premises vs cloud trades Develops productive relationships with the development contractor, spacecraft and payload subject matter experts (SMEs), and other functional counterparts Advises and mentors customer personnel regarding network and cloud architectures Provides technical and cost assessment of vendor proposals, reviews technical reports, design artifacts and program plans
