We are seeking a strategic and results-driven fundraising leader to cultivate and manage relationships with high-net-worth individuals and family offices. This role is responsible for executing a multi-year major gifts strategy, driving significant revenue growth through $10,000–$1,000,000 gifts, and advancing organizational priorities. You will manage a national portfolio of donors, collaborate with executive leadership, and partner with cross-functional teams to integrate fundraising initiatives. The ideal candidate combines relationship-building expertise, strategic thinking, and a passion for philanthropy, while delivering measurable impact in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This position offers the opportunity to influence high-level donor engagement and contribute to meaningful social change.

Accountabilities

Lead the development and execution of a major gifts strategy aligned with organizational goals.

Manage and grow a portfolio of 25–50 high-value donors, expanding to 100–150+ over time.

Secure $10,000–$1,000,000 gifts, emphasizing unrestricted and strategic funding.

Develop and implement moves management plans for donor qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.

Collaborate with executive leadership, including the CEO and Board Chair, to advance key donor relationships.

Coordinate cross-functional engagement with Marketing, Programs, and Affiliate Relations to integrate donor strategies.

Maintain accurate donor records, track fundraising metrics, and prepare proposals and briefing materials.

Lead major-gift pipeline meetings to review progress, set next steps, and ensure consistent communication across teams.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.

7–10 years of experience in major gift fundraising, preferably with national or international nonprofit organizations.

Demonstrated success securing five- and six-figure gifts from individuals.

Experience managing high-profile donor relationships and partnering with senior executives.

Proven ability to supervise, mentor, and lead fundraising staff.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and storytelling skills that inspire confidence and trust.

Proficiency with Salesforce or comparable CRM systems.

Strategic thinker with analytical skills to translate organizational priorities into donor-focused initiatives.

Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in donor engagement and team culture.

Willingness to travel up to 40% domestically, with occasional international travel.

Benefits

Salary: $85,000–$90,000 annually.

Paid time off: 18 days PTO plus 10 holidays; closed December 25–January 1.
