Senior Quality Engineer - Electric Motors Location:
Chaska, MN (On‑Site Mon‑Fri)

Pay Range:
$110,000 - $130,000/year + Shift Differential
Are you passionate about driving quality excellence in aerospace and defense manufacturing? Join us as a
Quality Engineer
at our growing Chaska, MN facility, where you'll play a key role in ensuring the quality of our advanced electric motor production. This is a hands‑on, impactful role supporting product and program quality, supplier compliance, and continuous improvement.
About the Role As a Quality Engineer, you'll support both internal and supplier quality initiatives, lead root cause analysis efforts, and ensure compliance with aerospace standard(s) such as AS9100. You'll be the go‑to quality expert for motor programs and work cross‑functionally with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production teams to improve processes and exceed customer expectations.
In the short term, you will also perform inspection activities (receiving, in‑process, and final), contributing directly to product quality while we ramp up operations locally.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain quality procedures for motor components and assemblies
Lead and support AS9100 and ISO 9001 compliance efforts
Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement
Support and represent Quality in customer programs, audits, and FAI reviews
Perform inspection of components and completed assemblies as needed
Use quality tools (SPC, PFMEA, MSA) to reduce variability and improve outcomes
Support data collection and analysis for quality and operational metrics
Collaborate across departments to meet Quality and Delivery goals
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related)
4+ years of experience in a quality‑related role (new grads with relevant experience may be considered)
Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, and aerospace/defense quality standards
Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electronic drawings and specs
Strong skills in data analysis, problem‑solving, and technical writing
U.S. Citizenship required (eligibility to obtain security clearance)
Many of our contracts require proof that you are a U.S. citizen and/or obtain export licenses for certain foreign nationals (production of such proof is required)
Bonus Skills
Knowledge of special processes (soldering, crimping, NDT, surface treatments)
Experience with quality inspection equipment and tools
Hands‑on experience with corrective/preventive action systems (SCARs, CAPAs)
Schedule & Travel
Full‑time: Mon‑Thurs (9 hrs/day), Fri (4 hrs)
Occasional overtime/weekend work may be required
Less than 10% travel
Work Environment Split between office and hands‑on manufacturing floor. Requires use of safety equipment and ability to lift/move items up to 25 lbs. Vision screening required.
