Packaging Technical Writer
Rose International is seeking a Packaging Technical Writer for a temporary 13‑month assignment in Fremont, CA. The role requires a skilled writer with experience in medical device labeling and packaging documentation. The position is full‑time (M‑F, 8:00‑5:00). Minimum hourly rate: $45.00. The candidate must be familiar with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, VSIO, and a database‑driven labeling system such as Prisym or Loftware.
Responsibilities
Act as an analyst in R&D Technical Writing, creating end‑user regulatory‑complaint product labeling.
Contribute to new product development and design change activities (label design/release, artwork/images, process improvements).
Engage cross‑functional teams to resolve obstacles, meet labeling objectives, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Research and build knowledge about products, services, technology, and test methods; translate findings into clear, logical documentation.
Drive continuous improvement, prepare for audits, and support the Quality Policy by embedding quality in all documentation.
Deliver SOPs, technical literature, work instructions, and engineering documents that meet applicable standards.
Perform structured problem‑solving initiatives and maintain quality system documentation with minimal supervision.
Support IFU development and release in PLM; coordinate with translation and printing suppliers.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic, Language, or related field; Master’s preferred.
2–4 years of relevant experience in packaging, labeling, or technical writing.
High level of service orientation and ability to manage a high and varied workload under tight timelines.
Strong communication skills and ability to provide weekly summaries, project plans, and prioritization.
Experience with Good Document Practices and required training.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator.
Demonstrated use of database‑driven labeling systems such as Prisym ID, Label View, Loftware, Bartender, Nice Label, or Easy Label.
Experience supporting IFU development in PLM and coordination with product labeling.
