Lanteris Space
Lanteris Space Systems is currently seeking a Advanced Production Technician for Solar Array and Battery to join our team in San Jose, CA. In this role, you will build and test flight solar array wing assemblies for spacecraft from multiple composite solar array panels and complex hinges, cables, hold-downs and pulley systems. You will also build and test flight Battery assemblies for spacecraft. You will interpret drawings, work instructions, and specifications for flight assemblies as well as complex assembly fixtures and tooling.
Responsibilities
Build and test flight spacecraft solar array wing and battery assemblies
Coordinate with manufacturing engineers and floor leads to deliver the highest quality hardware to the spacecraft
Prepare test articles for qualification or workmanship tests
Mentor junior employees
Maintain lean manufacturing (5s) and Continuous Improvement and Innovation (CI&I)
Minimum Requirements
Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
High school diploma or GED
4 years of mechanical experience
Ability to work overtime, weekends, and support occasional shift changes to support programs goals
Ability to travel to offsite vendors to support testing
Preferred Qualifications
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant certification or spacecraft integration or related aerospace experience
Proficient reading and comprehension of complex mechanical drawings and work instructions
Skilled in the use of precision mechanical tools, assembly fixtures, and measuring equipment
Microsoft office applications and internal database systems
Safely operate a forklift, man-lift, and cranes
Strong communication skills
The base pay for this position within California is: $27.60 - $46.00 hourly.
For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
