Subject Matter Expert at Amazon works on manual testing for the applications and product at the user level. They will perform audit on the work done by the Device Associates. SMEs also triage the bugs created by the DA team.

Key job responsibilities

Perform test case execution and report bugs accurately.

Provide floor support to DAs on clarifying their queries during execution.

Deal with ambiguity in the system, possess clear understanding of product/project, and operate with minimal dependence on work instructions.

Come up with creative ways to reduce ambiguity by identifying training needs and simplifying work instructions.

Create test data and perform test execution in a timely, clear, and concise manner.

Takes part in adhoc testing, such as exploratory testing and bug bashes, to find customer‑centric bugs.

Give feedback on coverage, quality of test instructions, and automation needs to the QA team.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT, or equivalent.

1+ years of quality assurance engineering experience, or Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Knowledge of QA methodology and tools, with demonstrated experience in a QAE role.

Experience understanding product and technical requirements and interfacing with Product/Technology teams.

Preferred Qualifications

BE, BTech, BS in Computer Science, Master of Computer Applications (MCA), or MSc Information Technology (IT).

Minimal relevant QA experience.

Strong knowledge of QA methodology.

Ability to understand technical specifications.
